A portrait can be defined as an image that captures the likeness of an individual or individuals. The most important part of the individual in these cases is the face and expression. A portrait should convey a feeling in the viewer. A portrait is not just about the face alone and can include a view of the whole body of the subject(s).
A portrait gets its name from an image that has the longest side in a vertical dimension. That is the classical explanation. However, in photography portraits can also be in landscape dimension where the longest side is horizontal or square where sides are equal.
Pricing for portraits start at just £65 depending upon the number of images and costume changes required. Portrait sessions are normally based in a studio but we are also happy to shoot in outdoor locations if the client so wishes.
Portrait sessions for a model’s portfolio start at £100 as these will normally include images taken in a studio and in outdoor locations.
